Twinkle/Pre-Twinkle String Program Information

Twinkle/Pre-Twinkle Program for Violin, Viola and Cello  - June 24th-28th, 2024 

This half-day program is aimed at students who are learning the preparatory steps to twinkle, still polishing their twinkles, or not yet ready for the Book 1 group lesson at this time. As this course focuses primarily on the very young child, parents are required to attend classes with the student at this level, further strengthening the student/parent/teacher learning unit.

Preparation

Students will need a memorized and polished piece to play in their individual Masterclass.

Students at this level should have all Suzuki pieces on the Repertoire List polished and memorized up to their current piece.

Sample Schedule 

Students will be placed in groups based on their age and level. This is a sample schedule only, your child’s classes may be arranged in a different order.

9:00-9:55 Pre-Twinkle Group Class This class will use repertoire from the Suzuki method to enhance the students’ instrumental and musical skills. 

10:00-10:55 Masterclass Students will be put in a small group with other students of a similar level. Each student will have a mini-lesson and observe the other students in their mini-lessons.

11:15-12:00 Recitals

12:00-1:00 Lunch

1:00-1:55 Enrichment (courses offered may include, art, movement, group recorder, singing, etc)
