Foundational Program: Violin, Viola, Cello Book 1-3
This program is recommended for students who are working in Suzuki Books 1-3. This program will help students develop their instrumental skills through their daily Masterclass and Technique class, as well as improving their ensemble skills through Group Class. As the Suzuki method relies on the parent to be the home-teacher, parents are needed to attend classes with the student at this level. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Preparation
Students will need a memorized and polished piece to play in their individual Masterclass. Students at this level should have all Suzuki pieces on the Repertoire List polished and memorized up to their current piece. The Suzuki Method relies on all students having knowledge of a common repertoire; they will be more confident and have a more enjoyable experience if they are prepared. Parents, in preparation for the institute, please make sure students have prepared their Suzuki review pieces to a high level.
